Trump hits hard in first post-Christmas tweets; goes after ‘this Crooked Hillary pile of garbage. . . ‘

With Christmas over, President Trump is hopping back in the ring, fists-swinging!

The president took to Twitter Tuesday morning to blast the FBI’s investigations into his campaign, particularly the bureau’s alleged use of the salacious Steele dossier as the basis for its probe.

BuzzFeed published the notorious dossier in January. The documents claim to detail collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government. Also included are accounts of the president’s alleged sexual conduct, such as hiring Russian prostitutes to urinate on a bed where Barack Obama once slept.

The DNC and the Clinton campaign paid for the dossier, which was compiled by former MI6 agent Christopher Steele.

The FBI used it to obtain permission to monitor the communications of Trump associate Cater Page, prompting the president to say the FBI was “going after the Trump campaign.”

The FBI has not repudiated the document, but it maintains the majority of it is unsubstantiated. FBI Deputy Director Andrew McCabe admitted the widely-discussed dossier is largely unverified, Washington Times reports.

Perceptions of anti-Trump bias at the FBI stemming from use of the dossier were compounded by discovery of text messages of agent Peter Strzok.

Strzok was demoted at the FBI and removed from his role Special Counsel Robert Mueller’s team when the Department of Justice uncovered his pro-Hillary, anti-Trump correspondence with FBI lawyer Lisa Page.

President Trump has called the investigation into his campaign’s alleged coordination with Moscow a “witch hunt.”

After the expected holiday cheer, it’s good to see the President back in his element.
