The “Morning Joe” team just can’t keep out of the fray.
On Wednesday night, former Arkansas Gov. Mike Huckabee gave a no-holds-barred rebuke of “Morning Joe” co-host Mika Brzezinski for her criticisms of his daughter, White House Press Secretary Sarah Sanders.

Brzezinski tore at Sanders and the other women in President Trump’s life–including First Lady Melania Trump and First Daughter Ivanka Trump–for not standing against the President’s Kirsten Gillibrand tweet on Tuesday.
President Trump criticized the New York Democratic Senator after she called on him to resign over the sexual allegations of multiple women.

President Trump’s detractors accused him of suggesting Gillibrand was willing to perform sexual favors in exchange for campaign contributions.
The “Morning Joe” co-host said she felt “sorry” for the Press Secretary, who defended the President by saying “Only if your mind is in the gutter would you have read it that way.”
Brzezinski also stated Huckabee Sanders “hasn’t made it” in her “quest of love for country.”
Gov. Huckabee fired back on his daughter’s behalf, saying “I was stunned that of all the people who are going to give a lecture on morality and family, and marriage, it’s going to be Mika? I’m sorry, but I just found that stunning.”
The former Governor may have been alluding to rumors that Brzezinski and “Morning Joe” co-host Joe Scarborough, to whom she is engaged, had an extra-marital affair while Scarborough was still married to his ex-wife.
Huckabee went on to say:
“The fact that some people read that tweet and immediately saw something sexual in it says a whole lot more about the people who read it than it did about the president because those are the exact kind of words that he has, in fact, used time and again.”
He concluded.
“I’ll probably have to take half a baby aspirin tonight just to be able to get to sleep because Mika Brzezinski attacked my daughter, who is one heck of a strong lady, a great mom, a lovely wife, and a terrific public servant.”
Then, for good measure, the Governor quipped “Mika can go pound sand somewhere as far as I’m concerned.”
In turn, Scarborough defended Brzezinski against Huckabee on Thursday morning.

The “Morning Joe” star called Huckabee a “sleazebag” and “predictably stupid.”
