Three-time Olympic skier Lindsey Vonn is set to participate in her fourth Winter Olympics under a third president, but according to a recent CNN interview she’s less than thrilled about the prospect of President Trump leading the country she’s representing.
“How will it feel competing at an Olympic games for the United States whose president is Donald Trump?” the CNN host asked.
“I hope to represent the people of the United States, not the president,” Vonn responded. “I take the Olympics very seriously and what they mean and what they represent, what walking under our flag means in the opening ceremonies. I want to represent our country well, and I don’t think there are a lot of people currently in our government that do that.”
Would Vonn accept a White House invitation?
“Absolutely not,” she said. “No, but have to win to be invited so. No, I actually I think every US Team member is invited so no I won’t go.”
The Twitter reaction to Vonn’s insult to half of America was harsh, to say the least.

#LindseyVonn when you disrespect the President you disrespect America and Americans.
I won't purchase anything you endorse.
