President Trump took advantage of a campaign-style rally on Friday night in Pensacola, Florida to blast the ‘Fake News’ media for yet another monumental error on a “bombshell” report.
“Did you see all the corrections the media’s been making?” Trump asked the cheering crowd. “They’re saying sorry. They’ve been doing that all year. They never apologize. Maybe that comes from being president, I don’t know. They’ve been apologizing left and right.”
“They took this fraudster from ABC they suspended him for a month,” Trump continued, referring to ABC News reporter Brian Ross’s erroneous report that Michael Flynn was directed to contact Russian officials during the campaign. “They should have fired him for what he wrote. He drove the stock market down 350 points in minutes.”
But the bulk of Trump’s antagonism was directed at CNN, which belatedly issued a correction about a report that Donald Trump Jr. received an email about Wikileaks before the documents were made public. The date given for the email on the report, September 4, was actually ten days prior to the actual email’s date, September 14: One day after the Wikileaks story went public.
“And then CNN apologized just a little while ago. They apologized,” Trump said, adding sarcastically, “Oh thank you, CNN, thank you so much.”
“You should have been apologizing for the last two years,” Trump added as the audience cheered.
