A liberal radio host is learning that nothing remains buried forever on the internet.
Sam Seder, an MSNBC contributor who hosts the New York political talk show Majority Report, is facing enormous outrage over the discovery of a 2009 tweet in which he said he would approve of his daughter’s rape if she were assaulted by an “older truly talented man.”
“Dont care re Polanski, but i hope if my daughter is ever raped it is by an older truly talented man w/ a great sense of mise en scene,” Seder wrote in September of 2009. The tweet refers to director Roman Polanski, who is a fugitive from the US after having drugged and raped a 13-year-old girl in 1977.
The tweet appears to minimize the young girl’s rape at the hands of the famous man. Social media users were particularly angered by the suggestion that Seder would allow his daughter to be abused.
Seder deleted the tweet after it went viral, prompting people on Twitter to question him about his motives in writing it.

According to Seder’s bio on the Majority Report website, the talk radio has a nationally syndicated show with Robert F. Kennedy, Jr. He lists himself as a regular contributor to MSNBC, CNBC and CNN who has substitute hosted for Chris Hayes and Keith Olbermann on MSBNC.
Seder is also a comedy writer who has created numerous pilots.
“Seder is also a professional comedy writer and director. Seder’s writing credits include pilots for HBO, NBC, FOX, AMC and CBS. He co- wrote, produced, directed, and acted in the feature length comedy Who’s the Caboose?, starring Sarah Silverman, H. Jon Benjamin and David Cross, acquired by the Trio cable Network.”
He has a long history of posting tweets critical of President Trump and Republicans in general.

But it’s the tweet from eight years ago that’s getting Seder the most publicity. Twitter users are being very open in signaling their disapproval of Seder’s sense of humor.
If this is sarcasm, you failed.
If this is parenting, you failed horribly.

Deleting does not remove the terrifying reality that he thought and felt so strongly about it tjat he put it out 4 all the world. Retraction is not redemption, just a cover up.
