Kathy Griffin claims her flailing career is due to Hollywood blacklisting and not a lack of talent.
“I’m fully in the middle of a blacklist, a Hollywood blacklist. It is real,” Griffin lamented on YouTube. “I’m not booked on any talk shows.”
Griffin insists Trump-hating liberal Hollywood turned against her after she mimicked an ISIS terrorist by posing with a fake severed head of President Trump.
In August, Griffin was fired from her CNN New Year’s Eve hosting gig, lost several endorsements, and her summer comedy tour gigs were cancelled amid widespread public backlash.
She now admits that she has “lost my mind” following the photo scandal. “I’m admitting I lost my mind, because it’s what made me a star in the first place,” she said.
Even Griffin’s longtime friends, like CNN host Anderson Cooper, slammed the shocking stunt. “I am appalled by the photo shoot Kathy Griffin took part in,” Cooper tweeted. “It is clearly disgusting and completely inappropriate.”
Despite the heavy bipartisan backlash she caused, Griffin blamed Trump supporters for the uproar. “They’re psychos!” she said. “They’re nuts!”
As she looks ahead, Griffin lamented that she has no jobs lined up. And it’s all someone else’s fault. “I don’t have one single day of paid work in front of me,” she said. “My legal bills are through the roof.”
Griffin claims the Trump photo scandal derailed her career, but neglects to mention that she has made numerous tasteless jokes over the years that crossed the line.
In 2007, Griffin mocked celebrities who thank God during their award acceptance speeches by saying, “Suck it, Jesus!” In 2010, Griffin fat-shamed Bristol Palin, the daughter of former Alaska governor Sarah Palin, during a VH 1 performance.
And in 2014, Griffin mocked singer Demi Lovato’s mental-health issues. Lovato has spoken publicly about her lifelong battles with suicidal depression, bulimia, and drug addiction. Gee, that’s hilarious, Kathy.
