President Trump is furious after player dishonors US anthem in Mexico. Here’s what he’s calling for now …

President Trump was not happy with Oakland Raiders running back Marshawn Lynch, who came under criticism Sunday night for standing for the Mexican national anthem while sitting in protest for the U.S. national anthem.

“Marshawn Lynch of the NFL’s Oakland Raiders stands for the Mexican Anthem and sits down to boos for our National Anthem. Great disrespect!” the President wrote. “Next time NFL should suspend him for remainder of season. Attendance and ratings way down.”

The Raiders were in Mexico City’s Azteca Stadium Sunday in a game against the Patriots, which they ended up losing 33-8.

Apparently, Lynch has never taken time to read up on the multitude of human rights abuses in Mexico.

Research by Human Rights Watch shows that under the current president alone, Mexico’s “security forces have been implicated in repeated, serious human rights violations—including extrajudicial killings, enforced disappearances, and torture—during efforts to combat organized crime.”

Extrajudicial killings are carried out at an “alarmingly high rate” in Mexico. In one shocking case from last year:

“[F]ederal police arbitrarily executed 22 of 42 civilians who died in a confrontation in 2015 in Tanhuato, Michoacán State. Police fatally shot at least 13 people in the back, tortured two detainees, and burned a man alive, the CNDH concluded, then altered the crime scene by moving bodies and planting guns to justify the illegal killings.”

Government authorities and criminal organizations regularly censor journalists through harassment and violence. From 2000 to 2016, 124 journalists have been killed.

Despite the constant cries about President Trump’s war against journalists, you won’t hear Lynch’s left-wing defenders in the media talking about the real persecution of journalists in Mexico.

If Lynch finds more pride in the Mexican flag than the American flag, he should consider moving. But then he’d have to learn to take up soccer.
