In what would prove to be an ill-timed interview, actor George Takei was asked by radio host Howard Stern in October if he’d ever grabbed anyone “by the c**k against their will?”
The “Star Trek” star’s answer was dead silence.
The interview came a few weeks before a former model would say Takei befriended him in the 1980’s and sexually assaulted him after spiking his drink.

Stern had mentioned the Harvey Weinstein sexual abuse scandal and noted the irony of having a president who “bragged about grabbing p*ssies.”
The reference to President Donald Trump prompted Takei, a fierce critic of Trump’s, to respond self-righteously, “Exactly!”
But Stern wasn’t about to let the openly gay actor off the hook for not answering his question about whether he had ever groped anyone.
“Uh oh,” Stern said in response to the silence. “You’ve never sexually harassed anyone, have you?”
Takei can be heard laughing awkwardly.
“Some people are kind of… umm… skittish,” he finally said. “Oh maybe… um… afraid and you’re trying to persuade.”
The two continue a discussion where Takei all but admits an encounter with someone who was hesitate about having sex.
“More than a gentle…” Takei said laughingly about his persuasion tactics, with this act somehow being less offensive than mere words coming from Trump. And it was, for a few weeks.

Takei fired back at the sexual assault allegations against him with a forceful denial in a tweetstorm on Saturday.
The LGBT activist and progressive hero insisted he was “shocked and bewildered” by the charges that he sexually assaulted the young model.
