Donna Brazile ‘hopes to God’ that someone finds the murderer of ‘my child’ Seth Rich

Former interim DNC chairperson Donna Brazile has surprisingly become one of the right’s most unwitting allies with her eye-witness accounts of the Clinton campaign’s moral and political failings.

Brazile is also providing plenty of ammunition to conspiracy theorists who believe that the DNC was behind the murder of staffer Seth Rich, who was killed in a botched robbery attempt while walking home to his Washington, D.C. apartment, according to police.

The political operative and former CNN contributor gave an interview with SiriusXM host Mark Thompson–and became extremely emotional when the topic of Seth Rich’s death came up.

Brazile said she “hopes to God” the killer is found, and even called Rich “my child.”

Thompson: Were the Russian involved, in your opinion (I know this hasn’t been resolved yet), in Seth Rich’s death? Yes, no, or I don’t know?

Brazile: I don’t know. I’m not part of the investigative team. But I can tell you this much, and thank you for asking about Seth. He was my child. I loved him. He worked in the voting rights division and I was the vice chair over that division. He was one of two staff people.

Brazile: I love him, I miss him. He was a patriot, and I hope to God we find out who murdered Seth Rich.

Thompson: You wrote in the book you feel responsible for his death.

Brazile: Because he was my child.

Thompson: Okay, I understand.

Brazile went on to say “Mark, I have been in politics all my adult life, the only children I have are the children that I have hired. They’re my children.”

Melania Trump finally got to see a ‘big, beautiful wall’ – this time, she kicks off her heels

Interestingly, Rich is one of the people to whom Brazile dedicated her recently released book, Hacks.

The book, which claims to be the “inside story of the break-ins and breakdowns that put Donald Trump in the White House,” contains a curious passage in which Brazile says she feared for her life after Rich’s murder.

While it is not clear if she meant that literally, some figures — including Donald Trump, Jr. and conservative author Dinesh D’Souza — have taken it seriously.

Brazile has been attacked by fellow liberals for speaking out about the mistakes and abuses of the Clinton campaign, including rigging the 2016 Democratic primary against Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders.

Whether or not there’s more to the Brazile-Rich connection beyond friendship, it’s always instructive to see Democrats fighting among themselves.
