President Donald Trump suggested the DOJ and the FBI investigate Hillary Clinton for rigging the Democratic primary election and violating campaign finance laws.
“Everybody is asking why the Justice Department (and FBI) isn’t looking into all of the dishonesty going on with Crooked Hillary & the Dems,” Trump tweeted. “New Donna B book says she paid for and stole the Dem Primary … At some point the Justice Department, and the FBI, must do what is right and proper. The American public deserves it!”
The president added: “This is real collusion and dishonesty. Major violation of Campaign Finance Laws and Money Laundering – where is our Justice Department?”
Trump was reacting to bombshell admissions by former DNC chair Donna Brazile, who revealed that former president Barack Obama had left the Democratic Party $24 million in debt.
As a result, Hillary — who raised most of the money for the party in 2016 — swooped in like a loan shark and ran the DNC through her control of its purse strings. This occurred through a secret agreement arranged long before Clinton won her party’s nomination.

Brazile also finally admitted what President Trump has claimed all along — that the Democratic primary was indeed “rigged” against Hillary’s opponent, Bernie Sanders. Democratic Senator Elizabeth Warren has also since admitted the primary was “rigged.”
This stunning about-face underscores that Hillary’s political career is now officially dead, since even her former cronies have apparently turned against her to save themselves.

Anti-Trumpers on Twitter mocked the president for asking why the DOJ is not investigating Clinton since he had appointed its head, Attorney General Jeff Sessions. But Sessions has recused himself on most matters relating to Trump because he had served as a surrogate during his campaign.
Plus, the DOJ and FBI are supposed to be independent of the president, notwithstanding the “weaponization” of the intelligence agencies under Barack Obama.

Meanwhile, the DOJ is basically being run by Deputy U.S. Attorney General, Rod Rosenstein, a career Justice Department bureaucrat who appointed Robert Mueller as special counsel to investigate Trump.
So, can President Trump get justice from “his” Justice Department? Time will tell.
