Donald Trump Jr. had no patience for Woody Allen’s expressed sympathy for Hollywood producer Harvey Weinstein.
Allen, who was accused — though never charged — of sexually molesting his then seven-year-old adopted daughter, Dylan Farrow, said in an interview with the BBC that he’s “sad” for the sexual predator.
“The whole Harvey Weinstein thing is very sad for everybody involved,” Allen said, according to Us Magazine. “Tragic for the poor women that were involved, sad for Harvey that [his] life is so messed up. There’s no winners in that, it’s just very, very sad and tragic for those poor women that had to go through that.”
President Donald Trump’s namesake responded to Allen on social media.

Trump Jr also hit Allen, who has collaborated with Weinstein on films, for saying he hopes a “witch hunt” can be avoided — heaven forbid other abusers be exposed.
“You don’t want a Hollywood ‘witch hunt’ in wake of Harvey Weinstein scandal,” Allen said.

President Trump’s oldest son called into question Allen’s motives if he couldn’t see that sexual abuse is ongoing in Hollywood.
“It’s not a ‘witch hunt’ when it’s actually happening and if you think it’s not after the past two weeks I have to question your motives,” Trump Jr tweeted

Trump Jr also commented on reports that Weinstein is under investigation in the United Kingdom for three separate incidents of sexual assault, likening the producer to Roman Polanski, who fled the country after he pleaded guilty to raping a 13-year-old girl.

Social media users were only too happy to pile on, reminding the world that a “creepy” Allen married the adopted daughter of his former girlfriend, Mia Farrow.
