Twitter stops Marsha Blackburn’s pro-life political ad as censorship of conservatives runs amok

**Update**: Under public pressure, Twitter reversed its censorship.

The leftist Nazis at Twitter are at it again. This time, they censored Republican Congresswoman Marsha Blackburn‘s political ad where she touted her pro-life stance.

Blackburn is running to replace Tennessee Senator Bob Corker, who will retire. As part of her election campaign, Blackburn unveiled an ad where she spotlighted her anti-abortion position.

“I’m 100% pro-life,” she said in the ad (see it below, starting at 1:00). “We fought Planned Parenthood and we stopped the sale of baby body parts.”

Twitter immediately shut it down, claiming it was an “inflammatory statement” that is “likely to evoke a strong negative reaction.” Duh, it’s supposed to evoke a strong reaction; it’s a political ad.

Blackburn told Fox News’ Brian Kilmeade she was stunned that Twitter would “censor a political ad” simply because it carried a pro-life message.

“This is a pro-women, pro-baby, pro-life message,” she said. “As chairman of the selective investigative panel, the work that our committee delivered stopped this practice of selling baby body parts. It’s something that people wanted to see shut down.”

A Twitter employee told Blackburn they would allow the promoted advertisement if she deleted the part about “the sale of baby body parts.” Blackburn refused.

Blackburn said she’s astonished that Twitter is fine with people promoting the burning of the American flag or disrespecting the national anthem but censors a political ad promoting a pro-life message.

“You know what is so amazing?” Blackburn asked. “Twitter can go out there and allow all of this showing ‘take a knee’ during the national anthem but they will not allow a pro-life, pro-woman, pro-baby message. Yes, I am pro-life and I stand by my message.”

Kilmeade then joke to Blackburn: “Twitter rejected you, but we said yes.”

This latest censorship is part of a broader movement by social media giants Facebook, Twitter, and Google to silence conservative viewpoints. It has already happened on mainstream news media, which are 97% liberal. And it is now infecting social media.

Twitter and Facebook immediately shut down accounts that espouse conservative political views, but allow radical Islamists to go unchecked. Indeed, Facebook and Twitter are critical components of ISIS’ recruitment plan. Let that sink in.

As a result of Twitter’s censorship, more people are now seeing Blackburn’s ad after she sent it as a tweet. The ad remains on Twitter, but Blackburn’s campaign cannot pay to promote it. At this point, it doesn’t need paid promotion!
