Now that the New York Times has officially outed Harvey Weinstein for his allegedly decades long history of sexual misconduct, others are finding it easier to come forward.
When former Fox News reporter Lauren Sivan was an anchor on local outlet Long Island 12 over a decade ago, she encountered the Hollywood movie executive at an event at Cipriani, a famous Manhattan Italian restaurant, and the night eventually ended in a nauseating sexual encounter with Weinstein that left the reporter “shocked” and scared of retaliation, according to The Huffington Post.
Yeah. This happened👇🏽luckily I didn't need a job or favor from him + didn't have to be polite. Others did. Keep that in mind. https://t.co/mXs2RIU5kU

Sivan told the Post on Friday that several attendees, including Sivan and Weinstein, later rode to a Cuban-themed club called Cafe Socialista, which was also owned by Cipriani owner Giuseppe Cipriani. At Cafe Socialista, Weinstein offered Sivan a tour, which she reluctantly accepted after telling a friend to come and get her if she wasn’t back in “ten minutes.”

When the two reached the kitchen, Weinstein oddly dismissed two staffers who were there cleaning up, then proceeded try to kiss Sivan. She rebuffed him by explaining that she was in a long-term relationship, at which point Weinstein responded by saying, “Well, can you just stand there and shut up,” before exposing himself and starting to masturbate in front of her.
After ejaculating into a nearby potted plant, Weinstein cleaned up and returned to the nightclub.
While Sivan has remained silent about the incident out of fear of retaliation from Weinstein, who has tremendous power in Hollywood, her friend who was also at the event has collaborated her story with The Huffington Post.
For those asking why I waited?
YOU try telling that story 10yrs ago. Only possible now because of women with bigger names far braver than me— Lauren Sivan (@LaurenSivan) October 7, 2017
Winstein reportedly called Sivan the next day to say he “had a great time last night” and to try to arrange a date, but Sivan ended the conversation quickly by reminding the Hollywood producer that she had a boyfriend.
That was the last contact the two had.
