At least 58 people are dead and more than 500 are injured after crazed gunman Stephen Paddock opened fire during a concert at the Mandalay Bay resort in Las Vegas.
Paddock, 64, lived in Mesquite, Nevada. He shot himself to death after his rampage.
Paddock fired at a crowd of concert-goers — sniper-style — from his hotel room on the 32nd floor of the Mandalay Bay resort. Paddock had been in the hotel room since September 28.
Authorities said the shooter had at least 10 guns and several cameras so he could spot first responders. He fired several hundred rounds. The massacre was clearly premeditated and well-planned. A motive is not yet known.
Marilou Danley has been identified as the shooter’s live-in girlfriend. Danley, a 62-year-old grandmother who holds an Australian passport, is considered a person of interest.
Stephen Paddock allegedly used her ID at the time of the shooting. Danley was reportedly in the Philippines visiting her family when the shooting occurred.
UPDATE: Marilou Danley is now considered a person of interest.
