Which lawmaker just told a bizarre story about that time he accidentally climbed into bed with his in-laws?

Freedom Caucus Chairman Mark Meadows said that he accidentally climbed into bed with his in-laws while sleep walking, in a speech where he related the incident to the ongoing NFL protests.

Meadows spoke at the American Spectator’s Robert L. Bartley Gala, hosted at Trump International Hotel in Washington, D.C. The congressman’s speech centered on the current state of the world today, where he openly questioned how society got to its current condition, specifically referencing partisan congressional feuds and the NFL players protesting the national anthem.

“If you live long enough, everything will happen to you,” Meadows said, recalling a trip he took with his in-laws years ago, shortly after he and his wife got married. “In the middle of the night, in my skivvies, I went to the bathroom.”

Instead of going back to his room, however, he made a wrong turn while sleepwalking and headed to the master bedroom.

“Well if that wasn’t bad enough, I proceeded to crawl into bed with my mother- and father-in-law, between them. I wake up to her dad rubbing my back, and her mother saying ‘What’s he doing here?’” Meadows said. “So if you live long enough, everything will happen to you, but I share that story because the question was ‘How in the world did I get there?’ And I would ask you the same question tonight. How in the world did we get where we are today that we start to tolerate some of the things that are going on?”
