Melania Trump just isn’t as warm and friendly as Michelle Obama and the left has found a “body language expert” to prove it.
Isn’t that convenient? And also a load of garbage.
The U.K. based news website Daily Mail ran a story on Saturday about a pre-scheduled meeting between Prince Harry and First Lady Melania Trump. With the help of a “body language expert,” it concluded that the prince was uncomfortable with her.
The website showed a series of awkward looking pictures and wrote the piece based on the initial formal photo shoot. In fairness, they were a little awkward, but in a normal and expected way.
“He started with his hands clasped and he’s gesturing very low to the body. It felt like he needed to protect himself during the interaction,” body language expert Patti Wood told the Mail.
Because Mrs. Trump is extremely intimidating, apparently.
“It’s proper etiquette,” Wood admitted. “But it’s interesting because it assumed there’s something to be a little bit concerned about.”
She noted that Harry had an awkward smile because he felt like he “should be smiling but I can’t be smiling.”
“There’s a lot of tension. It’s polite but beyond that to a slight fear and tension like “Am I doing the right thing?” Wood said.
The Mail compared them with photos of Prince Harry’s meeting with “perfect” former first lady Michelle Obama and contended that he looked more comfortable with her.
“If you look at them, look at the eye contact see how they’re having a moment with each other,” Wood aid of the meeting between the two in 2015 for the Invictus Games.
“They’re connected, isolating everyone else out but that didn’t happen this time with Melania,” she said.
Did you catch that? “They’re having a moment with each other.”
Guess who else ended up having some relaxed moments?
Yes, after the initial photo-op was over, the two good-looking leaders became comfortable with one another. In fact, despite Prince Harry’s girlfriend parked a few rows across the room, everyone seemed quite at ease.
The body language expert must have been on break.
