Fox News changes evening lineup! Will take on MSNBC, CNN with late-night original programming

Fox News has announced it will begin a new 11 p.m. EST show to compete with the original programming on CNN and MSNBC.

“Fox News @ Night” will be a live hour of “hard news and analysis of the most compelling stories from Washington and across the country” and will launch on Oct. 30, according to a press release from Fox News President Jay Wallace.

The show will be anchored by Shannon Bream, who most recently co-anchored the channel’s daytime show “America’s Newsroom” with Bill Hemmer and served as the network’s Supreme Court correspondent.

The news comes on the heels of the announcement that Laura Ingraham will be anchoring her own 10 p.m. show on the network, known as the “Ingraham Angle.”

Bream tweeted her excitement over the announcement:

But, Fox News detractors were quick to respond.

Others were excited with the news.
