While the Dallas Cowboys were left staggering after being dominated in all phases of the game by the Denver Broncos on Sunday, one player really did stagger off the field and it was hard to watch.
…even harder than the embarrassing performance by the visiting Cowboys.
With the NFL under fire for the effects of concussions on players, Broncos receiver Bennie Fowler suffered a nasty fall after being hit while making a catch, crashing to the turf on his head.
As difficult as it was to watch, his behavior immediately after was even tougher to digest.
Fowler is seen getting up and trying to run off the field, a reaction often seen from players trying to convince themselves that they’re not hurt, but he quickly stumbled to the ground.
He gets up a second time, but only makes it a few more steps before again falling to the field.

It’s clear the player is struggling to retain his faculties and a Denver trainer is already on the field.
The sight was the last thing Commissioner Roger Goodell wants to see, as the league is already reeling from militant players hijacking the game for political purposes.
With players continuing to disrespect fans, more are tuning out — NFL ratings for the opening week were dismal, although executives say it was because of Hurricane Irma.
Fowler suffered a concussion on the play and did not return to the game, according to The Denver Post. He is now in the league’s concussion protocol program.
