‘Class act!’ Janice Dean wows Fox News fans with selfless donation to victims of Hurricane Harvey

A Fox News meteorologist found a way to not just report the weather but have a personal impact as well.

Janice Dean, author of a new children’s book, “Freddy the Frogcaster and the Flash Flood” told the hosts of “Fox & Friends” Thursday that the devastation wrought by Hurricane Harvey in Texas inspired her to take action.

Dean announced she would be donating all of the proceeds from the book’s sales to victims of the storm.

“Well, I came out with this book, ‘Freddy the Frogcaster’ a couple of weeks ago and it is the Flash Flood story,” Dean said.  “When we saw the devastation in Texas I thought how can I go out and promote a book about flash floods when all of this is happening.”

“I’ve been promoting the book but what I’ve wanted to do is donate the proceeds that I received from the Flash Flood book and give it to a charity which I love,” Dean explained, “and that’s Team Rubicon and they are out there right now – our veterans are out there in Houston helping others and this is a great foundation, so all the proceeds from this book Freddy the Frogcaster and the Flash Flood.”

Co-host Pete Hegseth clarified Dean’s statement.

“All of the proceeds?” he asked.

“My proceeds, yes, every single penny will go to Team Rubicon,” she replied, adding that she “couldn’t not do it.”

Twitter users agreed that Dean’s gesture was worthy of praise and applauded her announcement.
