As the nation comes together to help residents in the Houston area recover from what has been Biblical flooding, there’s plenty of assistance originating in the great state of Texas as well.
…as seen from “Fixer Upper” stars Chip and Joanna Gaines.
The popular reality TV stars are from Waco, which is about 200 miles northwest of Houston, but they took to social media to tell Houstonians that “we will always have your back.”
The Gaines announced on Monday that they will be selling T-shirts to help victims of Hurricane Harvey — “Texas Forever” is emblazoned on the shirts.

“Texas – we will always have your back,” an Instagram post reads. “From now until the end of September, 100% of the proceeds from our ‘Texas Forever’ shirts will go toward restoring homes and lives in the wake of Hurricane Harvey.
“This undertaking is not too big for us if we are all in. Let’s help restore these towns together.”
In what serves as a testament to the Gaines’ popularity, the T-shirts have sold out in one day. But a note on their website asks for patience as they restock.
The reaction online shows just how beloved the “Fixer Upper” couple is, not that they were seeking accolades. One social media user even suggested an upcoming season could focus on restoring Houston homes.
