Brian Stelter’s desperate, melodramatic questions about Trump’s mental health are parody-worthy!

It has been a long way to fall for the once mighty news giant CNN.

Still smarting from his network being called “fake news” and being scolded again and again by President Donald Trump, CNN host Brian Stelter opened his Sunday show “Reliable Sources” by questioning the president’s mental fitness.

Stelter said that “uncomfortable conversations” about the president were being had off the air in newsrooms across the country, which tells you a lot about the mainstream media, and wondered if it was time to bring those questions to television.

But he didn’t wonder too long as he then asked some shameful questions, that sounded a lot more like declarative statements.

“Is the president of the United States a racist?” he asked with a straight face.

“Is he suffering from some kind of illness? Is he fit for office?” he continued. “And if he is unfit, then what? These are upsetting, polarizing questions that are uncomfortable to ask. But we in the national news media can’t pretend like our readers and viewers are not already asking. They are asking.”

He then regaled the audience with his opinion on the matter.

“My impression is that since President Trump’s inauguration, there’s been a lot of…umm…tiptoeing going on,” he said. “His actions have been described as unpresidential, as unhinged, and sometimes even crazy. That word crazy can be interpreted several different ways. It gets said a lot more in private than it gets said on TV.”

Those sound like words many have used to describe the media which has become increasingly off its rocker since the president was elected.

And social media fired at Stelter with both barrels.
