“It is a tale told by an idiot — full of sound and fury — signifying nothing.”
That Shakespeare quote pretty sums up the much-hyped “debate” between Trump-hating leftist comedian Chelsea Handler and conservative commentator Tomi Lahren.
The mock debate unfolded at the 2017 Politicon convention in Pasadena, California, on Saturday.
For months, Lahren and Handler had hyped the event as an epic showdown between fierce political opposites. In reality, the tame discussion devolved into girl talk, where the ladies complimented each other’s careers.
The most surprising moment occurred when Lahren accidentally revealed that she has Obamacare to thank for her health insurance coverage. Tomi has repeatedly railed against the bloated health care plan after premiums soared across the nation.
“Luckily, I’m 24, so I’m still on my parent’s (insurance),” Lahren replied, when asked if she has health insurance.
In response, some audience members heckled Lahren, shouting, “Thanks, Obama!” Obamacare, which was enacted in 2010, allows children and young adults under age 26 to be covered by their parents’ health insurance programs.
“She’s being honest. Stop,” Handler told the audience, who mocked Tomi for mooching off her parents’ insurance while criticizing the socialistic government program that allows her to do so.
Still, Lahren slammed Obamacare because it is a disaster. “Obamacare is in a death spiral,” she said.
Lahren was widely blasted on Twitter by critics who said as usual, she’s all bluster and no bite.
“If Tomi Lahren was a real conservative she’d get off her parents’ insurance and pay for her own,” one person wrote. “Except… she can’t hold down a job.”
In March, Lahren was fired from the Blaze TV after pandering to liberals on The View by insulting conservative pro-lifers.

Another chimed in: “Tomi Lahren is nothing more than a conservative moocher!”

Conservatives and liberals then blasted Lahren as a “slacker,” an “idiot,” and a hypocrite.
Tomi is showing us how what we called "the slacker mandate" is just another leg up for people with parent who are there to help them.

Tomi Lahren's idiocy is a reminder of why I got an education. She's the alternate ending in my choose-your-own-adventure & it ain't pretty.

But she’s not “chilling” – she’s avidly recording rants for her loyal Facebook followers from the sanctity of the drivers seat in her car. 😂

Luckily for Tomi, she has lots of fans. Like this 18-year-old kid, who adores her regardless of what she says or does.

Lahren and Handler then discussed President Trump’s proposed ban on transgender service members. Tomi agreed with the move, saying sex-change operations cost taxpayers huge amounts of money and don’t make the military stronger.
“For me, reinstating the ban on transgenders in the military was a very positive step,” she said. “What I care about is military effectiveness and readiness. When it comes to effectiveness on the battlefield, I don’t believe that it is a place for a social experiment.”
The ladies then complimented each other and brushed each other’s weaves (just kidding on the latter) before finding common ground on rapper 50 Cent.
“We both like 50 Cent,” Lahren offered.
“I never said I liked 50 Cent; I just had sex with him,” Handler quipped.
