Jake Tapper harasses Scaramucci friend after he threatens Priebus, says he’ll reveal mistress, other dirt

Jake Tapper went off on a friend of Anthony Scaramucci on Sunday after the friend took a swipe at former White House Press Secretary Reince Priebus.

Scaramucci’s friend Arthur Schwartz, who has been referred to in past mainstream media reports as Scaramucci’s publicist, took aim at Priebus after a Huffington Post story Schwartz seems to believe was sourced by Priebus.

“Hey @Reince45. Oops; @Reince – you’re unemployed now. Keep pushing this crap & I’ll start dropping oppo on you. Mistress much,” Schwartz wrote in a tweet he subsequently deleted.

CNN’s Tapper leaped at the opportunity to tie Scaramucci to the accusation.

“Publicist for @Scaramucci making public accusations against @Reince45 personal life,” he wrote.

Schwartz quickly fired back, stating that he never worked for Scaramucci as was falsely identified in previous stories as his publicist.

But that didn’t stop Tapper from continuing his harassment of Schwartz.

Frustrated, Schwartz eventually had to threaten legal action.

Scwartz even proved that he asked the Post to remove the reference to him as Scaramucci’s publicist.

The Post’s reporter, Dana Schuster, said she removed the reference to him as a publicist and changed it to representitive “as a courtesy.”

Schwartz later took the opportunity to apologize to Priebus for his accusations and said he was “ashamed” of what he said.
