Democratic Congresswoman Barbara Lee attacked General John Kelly shortly after President Trump named the DHS secretary his new White House chief of staff.
In an inane tweet, Lee accused decorated four-star general Kelly — a Gold Star dad — of being an “extremist” who will “militarize” the White House. Huh?!
“By putting Gen. John Kelly in charge, Pres Trump is militarizing the White House and putting our executive branch in the hands of an extremist,” the California congresswoman tweeted.
Lee, a comrade of unhinged moonbat Congresswoman Maxine Waters, is the former chair of the Congressional Black Caucus and a former volunteer for the militant, anti-white Black Panthers. She did not explain her bizarre insult.
By putting Gen John Kelly in charge, Pres Trump is militarizing the White House & putting our executive branch in the hands of an extremist.

It’s unclear what Lee’s reservations are about General Kelly, a retired four-star general who was the recipient of the Defense Distinguished Service Medal, the Defense Superior Service Medal, and the Legion of Merit, among others, during his 40 years of service in the U.S. Marine Corps.
As the current Homeland Security secretary, Kelly has cracked down on the deadly MS-13 gangs. In 2012, he was appointed by former President Barack Obama (Barbara Lee’s hero) as commander of the United States Southern Command.
In January 2017, Kelly was confirmed as DHS secretary by a landslide vote of 88 to 11 on President Trump’s first day in office.
In addition to his decades of outstanding public service, Kelly is a Gold Star dad who lost his son, Second Lt. Robert M. Kelly, in 2010. The 29-year-old was killed in action in Afghanistan fighting for our country. General Kelly has another son who’s also in the United States Marines Corps.
What the hell has Congresswoman Barbara Lee contributed to the nation, especially when compared to General Kelly?
Not surprisingly, Twitter gave Lee an epic smackdown for her dumb remarks in insulting a true public servant.
Did you just call a person who won Distinguished Medal fighting for this Country and Extremist?

For the record: smearing an honorable man who not only served this great country but lost his son in uniform as well, is a disgrace. #Shame

What ignorant nonsense. Military personnel are sworn to the Constitution & carry out their oaths with far greater fidelity than Congressmen. pic.twitter.com/lVifl3Qq4n
