In his first go-round on the Sunday talk shows as the White House communications director, Anthony Scaramucci let it be known that he’s no push over.
…though it didn’t take very long at all for Russia to come up.
Handling host Jake Tapper with ease during an appearance on CNN’s “State of the Union,” Scaramucci denounced Donald Trump Jr.’s meeting with a Russian attorney as a “non-event.”
Saying he’s “not sure” if he would have taken the meeting, Scaramucci said there was nothing there, but the media wants to “make that a two week, a four-week news cycle.”
“It had no impact on the campaign,” he added.

Scaramucci compared President Donald Trump to a football coach.
“The president likes speaking from the heart, he likes telling you what he likes and dislikes,” he said. “He’s the type of coach I work well with in high school football. It’s okay with me if the president doesn’t like certain things that I’m doing, we’re all on the same team.”
And he promised to end the White House leaks, if even if he has to start firing staff.
“By the way, tomorrow I’m going to be having a meeting with the communications staff and say, ‘Hey I don’t like these leaks, so we’re going to stop the leaks and if we don’t stop the leaks, I’m going to stop you.'”
“It’s just really that simple,” Scaramucci told Tapper.
