Tucker Carlson dashes Maxine Waters’ presidential hopes – and she’s not happy

Fox News’ Tucker Carlson hit back at Maxine Waters after the Congresswoman claimed radio host Larry Elder had lied about her on Carlson’s show the night before.

“They made up this story!” Waters told MSNBC. “[They’re] trying every way to discredit me. You’re going to be hearing a lot more from these people who are all trying to discredit Maxine Waters because she has stayed on Donald Trump‘s case so much.”

In response, Carlson literally laughed out loud, saying Waters discredits herself with her constant bleating of impeachment calls against the president and her inane leftist propaganda.

“Waters is self-discrediting,” he said while shrugging off reports that Waters, 78, is considering running for president in 2020.

Carlson said the 13-term Congresswoman has gotten a pass from the media and other Democrats for 40 years.

He pointed out that Waters is “one of the richest people in Los Angeles” representing an extremely poor district. Moreover, she doesn’t even live in the district she represents.

On Thursday’s episode of “Tucker Carlson Tonight,” Larry Elder slammed Waters for her corruption and longtime abuse of a government position to enrich herself.

Elder said if you were poor before you started working for the government and then mysteriously got rich after decades on a government salary, you’re “a thief.” Elder, an attorney, added:

She falsely accused the CIA of fomenting the crack cocaine epidemic in the ’80s and the ’90s in the inner city. And she had a meeting with the then-Secretary of the Treasury [Hank Paulson], urging him during the [2008] financial meltdown to bail out minority-owned banks without informing him that she and her husband had a financial interest in one of said minority banks.

Elder said while Waters claims to be a “champion of the inner city, her policies for inner-city black and brown people are particularly corrosive.”

He warned: “Black people, in particular, ought to reconsider their allegiance to people like Maxine Waters, who have done a great deal of damage to the inner city.”

In April 2017, Waters came under fire after FEC reports revealed she had paid her daughter Karen Waters a staggering $750,000 to oversee a cushy mailer campaign.

During her 40 years as a Congresswoman, Maxine Waters’ career highlights include being rated one of the “most corrupt” members of Congress in 2005, 2006, and 2008 by the George Soros-funded liberal watchdog CREW (Citizens for Responsibility and Ethics in Washington).

In 2008, Waters was charged with three counts of ethical violations after allegedly helping OneUnited Bank secure $12 million in federal bailout funds while hiding the fact that her husband owned stock in the bank.

Meanwhile, Waters goes on TV every day and accuses President Trump of being corrupt.
