Reince Priebus and Steve Bannon might be the next to follow former White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer out the door of President Donald Trump’s administration.
“It’s been an honor & a privilege to serve @POTUS @realDonaldTrump & this amazing country. I will continue my service through August,” Spicer said in a tweet on Friday after news broke of his resignation.

Spicer reportedly resigned over Trump’s hiring of Anthony Scaramucci as communitcations director. But he may not be alone.
White House Chief of Staff Priebus and chief strategist Bannon are also incensed over the hiring of Scaramucci as communications director, according to Politico.
“This was a murdering of Reince and Bannon. They said Anthony would get this job over their dead bodies,” a White House official told Politico.
WH insider tells me-Bannon told Scaramucci this morning. “Over my dead body will you get this job!!” somebody better check Bannon’s pulse

With Scaramucci in, I’m told Priebus is in fear of his position once again. Scaramucci has a close relationship with Trump.

GOP source to me just now: “Priebus is next.”

Per @MSNBC WH sources confirm that Bannon stated, “Over my dead body,” over the potential hiring of Scaramucci. Will Bannon/Priebus bolt?

Reince Priebus furious, per multiple who spoke w him. He has tried blocking Scaramucci at various points.

But another official said that those were not Priebus’ words.
The source said Priebus gets along with Scaramucci and only wanted to have the hiring process go slower.
Reince Priebus tells @DanaBashCNN he supports Anthony Scaramucci “100%.” “All good here.”

Scaramucci reportedly had the backing of the president’s daughter Ivanka Trump and her husband, Jared Kushner, who serves as an adviser to the president.
One source said the hiring, which was reportedly made directly by the president, might be seen as a message to Priebus.
“Just hiring Anthony is telling Reince beat it, go find another job,” a source said.
Others are happy with the move.
“We are all super happy, well most of us are. He’s got credibility including with some Democrats on the Hill. And he believes the press has a job to do. Good to have in this job as we move on to tax reform,” a White House official said.
