“If you had a contact with Russia, tell the special counsel about it,” the South Carolina Republican told Fox News host Martha MacCallum Tuesday. “Don’t wait until The New York Times figures it out.”
The New York Times reported that Donald Trump Jr. met Russian attorney Natalia Veselnitskaya, who claimed to have ties to the Kremlin and dirt on Democratic presidential nominee Hillary Clinton.
Neither claim turned out to be true.
“This drip, drip, drip, is undermining the credibility of this administration,” Gowdy continued on “The Story.”
“Someone close to the president needs to get everyone connected with that campaign in a room and say, ‘from the time you saw Dr. Zhivago until the moment you drank vodka with a guy named Boris, you list every single one of those, and we are going to turn them over to the special counsel.’”
The remark earned an LOL from MacCallum.
