Sean Hannity hammered the “Destroy Trump Media” (DTM) for “foaming at the mouth” again over claims of Russian collusion with President Trump’s campaign.
He denounced the media’s “Russia psychosis” which is back after reports that Donald Trump Jr. had a meeting with a Russian lawyer in 2016.
“The mainstream media is once again foaming at the mouth, hysterically obsessing over Russia, Russia, Russia,” he said in his opening monologue on Fox News’ “Hannity” Monday, accusing the critical media of working itself “into a frenzy” over the meeting.
If anyone did any research and read any more than the “phony headlines,” Hannity noted, “massive holes” would be found in the stories the media is chasing.
“Where’s the collusion?” he asked, pointing to Trump Jr. saying the meeting with the lawyer, who did not work for the Russian government at the time they met, offered “no meaningful information.”
“Why did the Obama administration let [the lawyer] into the country in 2016?” he asked, if they considered her a threat, considering she was initially denied a visa before being allowed to enter the U.S. under former President Obama’s watch.
That meeting may have actually been a Democratic set-up, since the lawyer allegedly had ties to the firm that came up with the fake dossier on President Trump.
Hannity questioned why the media and Democrats did not “freak out” in January when there was real evidence of collusion between the party and the Ukraine government over efforts to sabotage Trump.
Reports that a DNC operative met with Ukrainian officials, and the Ukraine government attempted to aid the Clinton campaign and the Democrats with “research” and reports, were ignored by the mainstream media, Hannity said.
“Oh, they went to the Ukranians, an outside entity, another country,” he said, condemning the Democrats. “Where’s the outrage over this?”
“How many of you even heard about this before?” he added. “Because there’s actual evidence of collusion, the meetings actually took place, the research actually happened. That’s collusion. And, by the way, where was Congress calling for investigations?”
