The Poles weren’t the only ones who loved President Trump’s speech — Retired Army Lt. Col. Ralph Peters did also.

Peters told Fox Business Network host Charles Payne that Trump’s address cleared up all doubts and reservations he’d had about the president attitude on the Kremlin and Russian President Vladimir Putin.

“Today’s speech was not only reassuring, [but] that Warsaw speech was to me the most timely and most effective speech given by an American president on European soil since Ronald Reagan said ‘Mr. Gorbachev tear down this wall.’”
Peters added that the speechwriter’s understanding of the issues and European history was apparent.
“It called out Russia” he said, but without naming Putin, and “many references … to Russian aggression and Russian historical atrocities” that Trump’s Polish audience understood although the average American may not have.
“No nation on Earth has fought longer and harder for freedom than Poland,” Peters said. “They know where the threat is — the threat is from the east. And President Trump, to his credit, even said we have to be wary of threats from the south and from the east.”
The speech was enthusiastically received by his Polish audience who chanted “Donald Trump” and and displayed banners proclaiming “Let’s Make Poland Great Again.”
Peters had plenty of company.

Not everyone was taken with it, however. Back home MSNBC’s “Morning Joe” host Joe Scarborough thought the message “disgusting.”
