When they talked fourth of July fireworks, this is not what they had in mind.
A woman, wearing what appears to be an orange Metropolitan Transit Authority vest, was captured casually lighting up and smoking aboard a subway train as the doors close.
She did it on Independence Day, the day when most Americans celebrate by lighting up fireworks — not smokes — and certainly not on public transportation.
The clip was captured in the early morning hours of Tuesday and posted to Instagram.
“Morning commute July 4th 4-day weekend MTA work bum LiT,” the commentary accompanying the one-minute video said.

“Oh my god,” a man can be heard saying. “An MTA worker is lighting … up.”
The clock inside the subway car indicated that it occurred at 3:44 a.m.
