CNN shamelessly uses Elmo to push refugee agenda, but watch what happens when ‘honest Elmo’ speaks

When it comes to liberal brainwashing, it’s important to ‘get ’em while they’re young.’

Liberals have always believed in the long game, so using popular Sesame Street character Elmo on Monday as a propaganda tool against the Trump Administration’s immigration policies was only par for the course for “fake news” CNN.

Appearing on a panel discussion with Sesame Workshop’s Sherrie Westin, David Miliband from the International Rescue Committee, and CNN reporter Clarissa Ward, Elmo was asked about Syrian children the puppet ‘visited’ at a Jordanian refugee camp.

“It was really wonderful, because Elmo got to meet a lot of new friends!” Elmo responded, when asked what his trip was like.

“Did you find that the Syrian little girls and little boys were a lot like your friends here in America?” asked Ward.

“Yeah, they really were,” answered Elmo. “It was very interesting because they like to play and learn just like Elmo and all of his friends at Sesame Street.”

According to CNN, the Jordan visit was “part of a pilot program with Sesame Workshop and the International Rescue Committee” to help Middle Eastern refugee children.

“Elmo thinks it’s important to know that everybody is the same deep down and that’s very important … It was really sad because Elmo’s new friends told Elmo that they had to leave their homes because it wasn’t safe for them to stay,” the puppet continued. “And that made Elmo really sad and sometimes a bit scared.”

Westin explained the rationale of using the popular character:

“Sesame has had a long history at looking at issues from a child’s perspective and given the staggering number of children who are displaced today, we knew this was an area where we really had to try to do something to help and we knew we couldn’t do it alone.”

In a Wednesday evening appearance on Tucker Carlson Tonight during which CNN’s endless Trump-Russia coverage was discussed, guest Mark Steyn called Elmo’s appearance the “least nutty thing” the network has done lately.

Even liberal site Mediaite called the stunt “dangerously close to outright advocacy journalism at a time when the travel ban, Syria and homeland security is such a hot-button topic.”

Finally, as a helpful gesture to CNN, watch Prison Planet’s Paul Joseph Watson voice ‘honest Elmo.’
