CNN’s Anderson Cooper hilariously throws Obama under the bus in blind aim at Trump

CNN anchor Anderson Cooper effectively threw Barack Obama under the bus in an effort to slam President Donald Trump, proving that the left’s Trump Derangement Syndrome is doing them more harm than good.

Cooper was critiquing Trump for his “lack of interest” in Russia’s alleged attempts to influence the 2016 election — citing the not very Trump-friendly Washington Post, he called the effort “the crime of the century.”

Exacting a standard not seen during the Obama years — when the alleged meddling occurred — CNN was emphatic about asking what Trump is doing to address this.

Cooper pointed to an article from The Post about Obama’s “secret struggle” to react to intelligence suggesting Russian President Vladimir Putin was directly involved in the effort and that his administration “did far less than warranted.”

Yet, where was CNN’s concern then?

Trump took to Twitter to ask the question the network has a lack of interest in asking:

And while the liberal media was quick to ridicule Republican presidential candidate Mitt Romney in 2012 when he said Russia was our biggest threat, CNN could not care less about the double standard — the irony being the media now dramatically claims the Kremlin is “a threat to democracy.”

The reaction on social media to the whole sordid affair showed that folks on the right were happy to call attention to the hypocrisy… and that Obama did nothing.

Here’s a sampling of responses from Twitter:
