Georgia House race gets brutal, shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise now on the ballot

The shooting of Rep. Steve Scalise is the centerpiece of the newest attack ad in the Georgia special election.

The ad features images of Rep. Scalise being carted off a baseball field on a stretcher after being shot by a radical leftist bent on hunting Republicans.

And the group responsible for the ad, Principled PAC, wants Georgia voters to know that the “violent left” is on the ballot in Tuesday’s election that pits Democrat Jon Ossoff against Republican Karen Handel for the House seat vacated by Republican Tom Price when he became President Donald Trump’s Secretary of Health and Human Services.

“The unhinged left is endorsing and applauding shooting Republicans,” the narrator of the ad said, as the images of Scalise flashed across the screen.

“When will it stop?” the narrator said. “It won’t if Jon Ossoff wins on Tuesday because the same unhinged leftists cheering last week’s shooting are all backing Jon Ossoff. And if he wins. They win.”

The ad featured images of the Scalise shooting, as well as comedian Kathy Griffin holding a mock severed head of the president and tweets from a Democrat strategist that called for Republican congressman to be hunted.
