Amid reports the newly crowned NBA champion Golden State Warriors may skip the traditional White House visit that champs usually embark on, House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi was quick to exploit the moment for political gain.
In a continuing show of disrespect, sports figures and entertainers shove their often divisive political views into the face of the paying customer, and the Warriors are no exception, with head coach Steve Kerr, a former player himself, and 2016 NBA MVP Stephen Curry having been publicly critical of President Donald Trump.
And while the team has not confirmed that they’ll skip the White House trip, Pelosi took to Twitter to engage in a game of political tug-of-war.
“The @Warriors’ leadership is inspiring. I’d be honored to welcome the team to the U.S. Capitol. #DubNation,” the Democratic lawmaker tweeted.

One might think Pelosi has more important things to do than troll the president on social media, but one would apparently be wrong.
Either way, social media users were up for the contest… here’s a sampling of their responses from Twitter:

This is likely to troll @POTUS, as there is unconfirmed speculation that the Warriors will boycott visiting the White House. https://t.co/wezrPGwB6u
