‘Matter … investigation’ same thing says Pelosi

It’s all in the words… and political affiliation.

House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi downplayed former Attorney General Loretta Lynch, the nation’s top cop at the time, downplaying Hillary Clinton’s mishandling of classified information through the use of a private email server.

During his testimony, Thursday before the Senate intelligence committee, former FBI Director James Comey revealed that Lynch directed him to downplay the scandal involving Clinton’s private server by referring to it as a “matter,” not an “investigation.”

“It was misinterpreted,” Pelosi insisted. “Matter, investigation, I don’t know that that’s such a big deal.”

More from Fox News:

Pelosi made the comment during a press conference, which is similar to the stance she took over Lynch meeting with former President Bill Clinton on an airport tarmac during the 2016 presidential election – while wife Hillary was being investigated by the FBI.

The Democratic lawmaker downplayed this highly questionable meeting earlier this year.

“Attorney General Lynch had a social encounter — serendipitous, some might say, but — when former president of the United States came by to say hello and they discussed their grandchildren,” Pelosi said. “She did not have a major role in the Hillary Clinton campaign.”

Note that she did not deny that Lynch had any role in the campaign, just not a “major role.”

But when the person in question has an “R” next to their name, like President Donald Trump, Pelosi’s critical eye sharpens significantly:
