‘He broke me!’ Kathy Griffin breaks down ‘big league,’ makes all sorts of claims about Trump in presser

Those may not have been the words of comedienne Kathy Griffin as she sat alongside Lisa Bloom, her attorney, at Friday’s press conference, but the implication was there all the same.

 

A reporter asked her if the fallout she’d received from posting a hideous photo of her holding a facsimile of President Donald Trump‘s severed head aloft like an Islamic State terrorist could affect her career.

The question was posed to her after she’d referred to Trump as “a fool.” Apparently because he tweeted that she should feel ashamed for the stunt.

“Absolutely, I don’t think I will have a career after this,” she answered. “I think he, I think her, I think he — I’m going to be honest: He broke me — he broke me,” she continued, then broke down into tears claiming her career was over.

“It’s not right.” she continued. “It’s just not right.”

The president’s 11-year-old son Barron probably thought that very thing when he went screaming to his mother after seeing the photo of what he really thought was his father’s bloodied head displayed on TV.

“It’s quite clear to me, they’re trying to use me as a distraction,” Griffin said, presumably talking about the Trump family.

Griffin said that she had apologized, and seemed to believe that everyone was just supposed to drop it at that point. But, because the outrage didn’t instantly blow over, Griffin grew nervous.

“I started to see what was really happening. And then it was a mob mentality pile on.”

Griffin also claimed she’s getting contant death threats:

And she blamed “older white guys” who’ve been trying “to keep her down” for her entire career:

And her lawyer, with a straight face, claimed Griffin had no idea a bloody severed head would be interpreted as “a threat of violence.”

Folks on Twitter weren’t impressed with either the performance or the waterworks.
