TMZ is reporting on Wednesday that “Trump family sources” told reporters Barron Trump saw his dad’s severed head on television and screamed for his mother.
The graphic image of the bloodied severed head of his father sent Barron Trump into a panic, sources told TMZ.
The 11-year-old was watching television on Tuesday when the image of comedian Kathy Griffin holding a mask resembling his father being beheaded, was shown on the screen, TMZ reported.
“Mommy, Mommy!” he yelled to Melania, who was in the home, according to TMZ.
“He’s 11. He doesn’t know who Kathy Griffin is and the head she was holding resembled his dad,” a source told TMZ.
‘Decision’ about Kathy Griffin’s annual New Year’s Eve gig stumps CNN after ‘contrived’ apology
Melania called out Kathy, saying what she did was disturbing, wrong and “makes you wonder about [her] mental health.”
The despicable display was roundly criticized, even by former first daughter Chelsea Clinton and other liberals.
It also drew the ire of President Donald Trump who responded in a tweet that said his children were “having a hard time” with it, naming Barron in particular.
CNN is getting hammered Wednesday for announcing it has not decided whether it will keep Griffin on staff for its annual New Year’s Eve show she usually hosts with Anderson Cooper. The network appeared to make an effort to sweep the scandal under the rug as it removed a video of CNN anchor Jake Tapper discussing the incident.
