MSNBC’s Joe Scarborough thought he had some pertinent advice for Rep. Trey Gowdy following Tuesday’s House Intelligence Committee hearing.
The “Morning Joe” host sidetracked a discussion on Gowdy’s showdown with former CIA Director John Brennan to offer the South Carolina congressman some “pro tips.”
“Well, first of all,” Scarborough said Wednesday, “Trey Gowdy, a couple pro tips. First of all, a little powder. If somebody could just get him some powder, just a little powder to put it across the top. The shine is unbelievable.”
Gowdy and Brennan had a heated exchange as the former CIA chief testified before the House Permanent Select Committee on Intelligence on whether there was any collusion between President Trump’s campaign and Russian officials.
Scarborough mocked the Republican congressman after playing video clips of the hearing.
“Secondly—and I speak, actually, for America,” he added. “Because that’s all people notice, Trey, when you’re on TV.”
Scarborough’s co-host and fiance Mika Brzezinski looked confused during his remarks and said she thought he was talking about her.
“No, No. You, actually…very nice,” he responded.
