Roger Ailes’ son vows vengeance on dad’s accusers at funeral: ‘I’m coming after them, and hell is coming with me’

Roger Ailes son Zachary appeared to swear vengeance on those who “betrayed” the former Fox News chairman at Ailes’ funeral service over the weekend.

A small group of approximately 65 close friends and family members gathered for the memorial service held at St. Edward Catholic Church in Palm Beach, Florida.

In addition to Ailes’ wife Elizabeth and his 17-year-old son Zachery, mourners included many supporters from the Fox News family of hosts and contributors, including Sean Hannity, Bill Hemmer, Kimberly Guilfoyle, Angela McGowen, Dr. Manny Alvarez, and retired U.S. Army Gen. Jack Keane.

Also in attendance were popular talk radio host Rush Limbaugh and his wife, Kathryn, and Lifezette editor-in-chief, conservative radio host and Fox News contributor Laura Ingraham, who reported on the service.

But it wasn’t just conservatives in attendance. Ethyl Kennedy, widow of Robert F. Kennedy paid her respects, as did former Congressman Dennis Kucinich.

“I loved my father,” Zachary Ailes told LifeZette. “He considered how much certain people hated him as a measure of success.”

The younger Ailes pledged to clear his father’s name of a string of sexual harassment allegations, which resulted in his removal from Fox News Channel, an organization he founded.

Zachery used a line from the motion picture “Tombstone” during the ceremony to swear vengeance on his father’s accusers, according to LifeZette.

“I want all the people who betrayed my father to know that I’m coming after them,” the young Ailes swore. “And hell is coming with me.”

Others in attendance had kind words and memories of the media and political giant.

Hannity told the Daily Mail after reading a psalm that “I wouldn’t be what I am today without Roger.”

“[Ailes] took me as a local radio host in Atlanta and gave me the opportunity of a lifetime,” Hannity added. “He saw things in people that no one else would see. He is an American patriot of the highest level.”

Fox News host Kimberly Guilfoyle sounded dismissive of the harassment allegations, by remembering Ailes as a “champion of women.”
