A Democratic congressman called her a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
Holocaust survivors are taking action to get a state-funded public university to reverse its decision have Palestinian activist Linda Sarsour deliver the commencement address to its June graduates.

Some 100 Holocaust survivors of Auschwitz, Bergen-Belsen, Dachau, the Riga Ghetto and Theresienstadt asked Gov. Andrew Cuomo in a letter to intervene in the City University of New York Graduate School of Public Health’s decision.
They called the university’s invitation a “frightening reality that we hoped we would never see again,” according to The Washington Free Beacon.
What Linda Sarsour advocates for—boycotts against Jewish businesses in Israel and random acts of violence against the innocent—are no different than the things that we personally experienced. This is a frightening reality that we hoped we would never see again. But what makes matters worse is to again see good people and respected institutions responding with indifference… Nothing good can come of Ms. Sarsour telling young people, with CUNY’s imprimatur, that violence against the innocent for any reason at all is acceptable or courageous.
Although Sarsour bills herself as a feminist, she also supports Sharia law and has endorsed convicted Palestinian terrorist Rasmea Odeh.
New York State Assemblyman Dov Hikind, an Orthodox Jew, also decried the university’s decision, calling terror-sympathizing Sarsour a “wolf in sheep’s clothing.”
“It’s a sad day for New York,” Hikind, a Democrat representing a Brooklyn district said. “Our most vulnerable citizens—elderly Holocaust survivors who understand the price of ignoring evil—have to cry out to their elected officials regarding something as obvious as not offering an official platform to a hate peddler like Linda Sarsour.”
Hikind observed that while she has enjoyed enormous support from those on the left, her words and actions speak volumes.
“This wolf in sheep’s clothing has fooled some of the people, but her tweets and the things she’s said on stage betray her fondness for violence against Jews,” he continued. “This is something New York State funded schools should distance themselves from, not tacitly approve.”
Former Muslim and women’s rights activist Ayaan Hirsi Ali denounced Sarsour as being a “fake feminist.”
“Miss Sarsour is hostile to me, not because she knows me, but because she’s a fake feminist,” Ali recently said on Fox News Channel.
“She is a defender of Sharia law,” she added. “There is no principle that demeans, degrades and dehumanizes women more than the principle of Sharia law.”
