An Oregon woman cut her grocery shopping short after she was triggered by a Confederate flag in the store that sent her into a complete meltdown.
Video of the entire incident was captured by the woman who began filming inside the Portland liquidation store last week, confronting employees about the Confederate flag rugs on display.
** Warning: Graphic language **
“You don’t care about having hate flags on your wall?” Heather Franklin asked a man in a blue shirt at the Everyday Deals Extreme store in the video she captured.
“How’s that a hate symbol?” he asked. “Read your history.”
“A Confederate flag is a symbol of slavery, and lynching and raping of black people,” Franklin tells him.”That’s like having a swastika on your wall.”
A man who later identified himself as an employee flipped Franklin off as she filmed, saying, “Bye bitch. Get your kids out of here,” according to the Oregonian.
But Franklin continued to video, and continued to complain about the store she vowed never to return to, as she headed back to her car. She really began to lose it once in the parking lot, as she told the camera repeatedly the address of the store and the fact that she was attacked in the store just for asking about the rugs.
Franklin then became unhinged as the two men appeared in the parking lot. One could be seen filming her on his phone as she yelled at him.
The 33 year-old woman went over the edge, accusing the men of “attacking and assaulting her” from across the parking lot, as she screamed at them not to approach her and the children.
“I felt like they were going to come and physically hurt me,” Franklin said later, according to the Oregonian.
The CEO of Everyday Deals said the rugs have been taken down and the supplier told not to send any more to the store that has a shifting inventory. “We’ve contacted the rug supplier and said please don’t send us those,” Andrew Toolson told the Oregonian following the incident.
Toolson reportedly hoped to apologize to Franklin for the actions of the employees who were put on indefinite leave, according to KGW.

“I just want everyone to know that’s not who we are and what represent here at all,” he said.
@Maggie_Vespa The CEOs need to stop apologizing to the left. Do CEOs apologize to the right…ever?

@Maggie_Vespa Companies need to stop being little cowards to these sorry assed, whiny, social justice warriors. I’m so sick of them all!

Franklin promised she will “never” shop in the store again, however. “It seems that store is full of terrible people,” she said, complaining that the men took pictures of her license plate and employees were mocking her on social media.
Seems, as usual, social justice warriors like Franklin see no problem with their own confrontational behavior, attacking a store and its employees for something she personally found offensive. But when the cameras are turned, the unhinged meltdowns begin.
Watch collective shock when bully gets body slammed ‘into a nap’ after picking on the wrong kid!
@Maggie_Vespa It is a sad day when unstable individuals with illusions of persecution can dictate how a lawful business conducts itself.

@Maggie_Vespa A backbone of mush and an imperious, haughty attitude. Worse, she drags children into the fight she started. What a horrid human being.

Not surprisingly, Twitter users were not actually thankful to Franklin for raising the alarm.

@Maggie_Vespa Truly saddened that the store apologized or put the employee on leave. Hateful woman should have just left if she didn’t like it.

@Maggie_Vespa Then she wants to scream about being “assaulted” when he own video clearly shows that she wasn’t. This is ridiculous.

@Maggie_Vespa @KGWNews A normal person would ask to speak to a Mgr & discuss their concerns civilly. She came in, camera rolling, gunning for a fight. Unstable.
