Sen. Elizabeth Warren revealed what fueled her motivation to attend President Donald Trump’s inauguration and shared some disturbing thoughts on Republicans.
Despite the choice by many of her Democratic colleagues to skip the event in January as a protest against the new president, Warren was there – with a purpose.
“I went to Trump’s inauguration,” the Massachusetts Democrat told HBO “Real Time” host Bill Maher on Friday.
“I watched. I wanted to see it. I wanted it burned into my eyes,” she said.

A vocal critic of Trump through the 2016 presidential campaign and since he has stepped into the White House, Warren elaborated on her explanation.
“My view on this was that if there were ever going to be a moment when I was like, ‘Uhh, I’m too tired to get up,’ all I’ve got to do is close my eyes and I’m like, ‘Oh God, I’m up! I’m up! I’m up! I’m ready! I’m back in the fight,” she said.
Maher ventured into one area that Trump has taunted Warren with frequently, calling her Pocahontas on many occasions.
“They don’t like you, Pocahontas,” Maher said as they were discussing middle-class Trump voters.

Warren paused as the audience laughed but she continued making her point without even responding to the jab.
The senator has repeatedly slammed Trump and Republicans for catering to the wealthy and used an event last week to criticize GOP efforts to repeal Obamacare.
“God, what planet do they live on?” Warren asked, apparently quite bothered that the plan was “not brutal enough for a big chunk of the Republican party.”
And while her dislike for the GOP is without question, her callous joke was nothing short of creepy.
“I hope they leave their bodies to science. I would like to cut them open,” she said as her audience laughed and applauded.
