NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell ‘celebrates’ Anita Hill and gets schooled for it immediately

NBC News’ Andrea Mitchell praised Anita Hill’s character assassination of Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas on social media.

It wasn’t appreciated.

Promoting her interview with Hill, Mitchell called the sexual harassment hearings against Thomas “celebrated” while ignoring the fact that there are tremendous holes in Hill’s story.

During Thomas’ confirmation hearings in 1991, Hill accused him of sexually harassing her when she was his subordinate at the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and Department of Education.

Thomas, who was appointed to the Supreme Court by President George H.W. Bush, vehemently denied the accusations, calling them a “high-tech lynching.”

He was eventually confirmed with a vote of 52-to-48.

Mitchell didn’t get a lot of support on social media.
