Lefty judge who just blocked Trump on sanctuary cities raised $200,000 for Obama, but it gets far worse

The Deep State strikes again.

On Tuesday, Federal Judge William Orrick III blocked, at least for now, President Trump’s executive order withholding federal funds from sanctuary cities.

But with liberal activist judges who love bending the law to suit their politically correct sentimentalities, there’s always more to the story.

And it’s no different with Orrick.

In a shocker that really should shock no one, this leftist judge reportedly raised over $200,000 and personally gave $30,000 of his own money to support former President Obama, and also gave money to support John Kerry in 2004.

Oh, but there’s more.

The 63-year-old Orrick also issued a restraining order in 2015 against The Center for Medical Progress, an anti-abortion group headed by David Daleiden that secretly recorded meetings of an international group of abortion providers called the National Abortion Federation, to which several Planned Parenthood locations are affiliated with.

At the time, Orrick was “concerned” about Planned Parenthood leaders, writing, “NAF would be likely to suffer irreparable injury, absent an ex parte temporary restraining order, in the form of harassment, intimidation, violence, invasion of privacy, and injury to reputation, and the requested relief is in the public interest.”

In other words, selling baby parts is totally cool, but we wouldn’t want the unpleasant details to get out to the general public.

This time, the Northern District of California judge’s injunction comes as a favorable ruling for Santa Clara county and the city of San Francisco, who sued over President Trump’s order to withhold federal funds from so-called sanctuary cities that harbor illegal immigrants in violation of federal law.
