When North Korea failed to get the message that the United States wasn’t going to tolerate war crimes committed by rogue regimes, President Donald Trump sent Kim Jong Um a sterner message.
The president ordered a vast Armada in the form of a U.S. carrier strike group into the Western Pacific to patrol the Korean peninsula.

The president tweeted:
North Korea is looking for trouble. If China decides to help, that would be great. If not, we will solve the problem without them! U.S.A.

Trump also gave his first Fox Business Network interview to Maria Bartiromo.
“We are sending an Armada — very powerful,” he told Bartiromo in the interview that will air Wednesday morning. “We have submarines — very powerful, far more powerful than the aircraft carrier, that I can tell you. And we have the best military people on Earth”
He gave the North Korean a warning. “And I will say this: He is doing the wrong thing,” he told the Fox Business Network host. “He is doing the wrong thing.”
Fox News producer Chris Snyder reported on the exchange:

Adm. Harry Harris, the commander of US Pacific Command, ordered the USS Carl Vinson strike group to set sail over the weekend from Singapore to patrol offshore the Korean peninsula.
North Korea has been stepping up its saber-rattling lately, and just a few days before the carrier strike group set sail, the dictatorship launched a Scud extended range missile. According to U.S. officials, the missile exploded in mid-flight.
In September, North Korea claimed to have successfully tested a nuclear warhead.
Last week, Trump approved a missile strike on Syria after that country had used chemical weapons on its own people. That occurred while Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping met at the southern White House at the president’s Mar-a-Lago estate in Palm Beach, Florida.

That missile strike against a Syrian military airbase was intended to send a strong message to not just Syria and Syrian allies Russia and Iran, but also China and North Korea. The rogue state apparently didn’t get the message.

Perhaps North Korea will understand when the strike group becomes a visible presence.
