Former Republican strategist Ana Navarro continues to use her shrewish anti-Trump rhetoric to get TV airtime.
Navarro, whose claim to fame is being CNN’s anti-Trump minority “conservative,” blasted President Trump once again as a “racist, misogynist, lying pig” who has more political positions than the Kama Sutra.
Ironically, she unleashed the invective while praising Trump for launching air strikes against Syria after Syrian President Bashar al Assad allegedly used chemical weapons to attack his own citizens.
Navarro made the comments while appearing on an anti-Trump panel on HBO’s Real Time with Bill Maher.
“When he was campaigning, I thought he was a racist, misogynist, lying pig,” Navarro said (see video starting at 3:07). “I still think he is a racist, misogynist, lying pig, but he’s also my commander-in-chief. For too long we have been looking the other way in the face of genocide.”
In 2013, Trump vehemently opposed U.S. intervention in Syria, saying America gets nothing out of it other than wasting valuable manpower and resources.
This week, Trump bombed al-Shayrat military base to send the message to Syrian dictator Bashar al Assad that the United States will not tolerate the unlawful use of chemical weapons.
In response to Trump’s change of heart, Navarro delivered this rehearsed sound bite: “His change of position should not be bewildering. The man has had more positions than the Kama Sutra on just about every issue.”
Thanks to her unending Trump-bashing, Navarro now has a middling career on liberal cable shows and a large following — among leftists.
