Vice President Mike Pence has come under attack after revealing himself to practice his marriage by Christian standards.

The Washington Post ran a story about Pence’s wife Karen on Tuesday where a statement from a 2002 article with the current vice president, was featured.

In 2002, Mike Pence told the Hill that he never eats alone with a woman other than his wife and that he won’t attend events featuring alcohol without her by his side, either.

If you read the left’s response to that on Twitter you’d think the vice president is some religious zealot and woman-hater.

This seems to be the tweet that got the liberal insanity rolling:

Ironic when one considers that many on the left supported the Women’s March which was led, in part, by Sharia law supporter Linda Sarsour.

Not to mention that a man putting restrictions on himself has no resemblance to anything in Sharia law.

And the argument that he won’t hire women falls flat when you know he just received the Independent Women’s Forum’s “Working For Women” award for fighting for women’s economic rights.

It also doesn’t work after one takes a look at the vice president’s staff, that he announced in January.

In addition to Jen Pavlik, who serves as his deputy chief of staff, Pence announced the addition of the following key staff members:

Sarah Makin, Deputy Assistant to the President and Director of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs for the Vice President.

Andeliz Castillo, Special Assistant to the President and Deputy Director of Public Engagement and Intergovernmental Affairs for the Vice President.

Meghan Patenaude, Deputy Assistant to the Vice President and Director of Scheduling.

Kara Brooks, Deputy Assistant to the Vice President and Communications Director to the Second Lady.

Sara Egeland, Deputy Assistant to the Vice President and Policy Director to the Second Lady

Col. Andrea Thompson (U.S. Army – Retired), Deputy Assistant to the President and National Security Advisor to the Vice President.

The vice president also received a ton of support on social media.
