Anne Frank Center demands apology from Tim Allen, but countless Trump-Hitler-Nazi digs from the left OK

Tim Allen obviously meant it as a joke, but the Anne Frank Center isn’t laughing at the comedian’s comparison of the fate of Hollywood conservatives to living in “30s Germany.”

On Jimmy Kimmel’s ABC show last week, Allen said: “You gotta be real careful around here, you know. You’ll get beat up if you don’t believe what everybody believes. This is like 30s Germany. I don’t know what happened. If you’re not part of the group, ‘you know what we believe is right,’ I go, ‘Well, I might have a problem with that.'”

That was enough to generate the ire of Steven Goldstein, Executive Director of the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect, who has called on Allen to apologize for his “deeply offensive characterization.”

If Gorsuch is HALF as good on Supreme Court as he is at making Feinstein look a fool, he’ll be AMAZING

“Tim, have you lost your mind?” Goldstein wrote in a Sunday Facebook post. “No one in Hollywood today is subjecting you or anyone else to what the Nazis imposed on Jews in the 1930s – the world’s most evil program of dehumanization, imprisonment and mass brutality, implemented by an entire national government, as the prelude for the genocide of nearly an entire people.”

“Sorry, Tim, that’s just not the same as getting turned down for a movie role. It’s time for you to leave your bubble to apologize to the Jewish people and, to be sure, the other people also targeted by the Nazis.”

The post concluded with the hashtags “#NeverAgain” and “#Antisemitism.”

Of course, it’s doubtful that the Anne Frank Center for Mutual Respect has the same record denouncing liberals who compare President Trump to Hitler and constantly call conservatives to the right of Olympia Snowe “nazis,” but hey, Leftist groups like this are great at hypocrisy, hand-wringing and pearl-clutching, not to mention a complete lack of a sense of hyperbole or humor.

Here’s to hoping Allen bucks the status quo and refuses to apologize!
