A California waiter was fired after allegedly demanding that customers show proof of citizenship before he served them.
Diana Carrillo, her sister and two friends (pictured below) were excited to try the food at the Saint Marc Pub-Cafe in Huntington Beach, California, last week, but said they were stunned by the obnoxious service.
Carillo, 24, had taken her ID out to order a drink but was shocked when the waiter asked her and her friends for “proof of residency.” The rude waiter reportedly said: “I need to make sure you’re residents before I serve you.”
The restaurant’s manager apologized to Carillo and her friends after being alerted. Diana later shared the incident on Facebook, where it drew widespread outrage.
Kent Berden, the senior director of operations at Saint Marc’s Pub, told the OC Register that he had fired the waiter, saying: “This type of behavior is not representative of the St. Marc brand and will not be tolerated … The individual didn’t follow corporate policy by any stretch of the imagination.”
The restaurant then offered to donate 10% of the weekend’s sales to a charity of Diana Carillo’s choice, which turned out to be the pro-illegal immigration group, Orange County Immigrant Youth United organization. According to its website:
OCIYU is an undocumented immigrant youth led organization that advocates for the rights of undocumented immigrants to live free from exploitation and persecution by mobilizing undocumented youth to advocate for their communities.
Diana Carillo overplayed her hand when she blamed the incident on President Trump and his attempts to crack down on illegal immigration.

“I feel that’s the direction we’re headed in, given who’s the president,” she told the OC Register. “That’s one of the reasons I posted it on social media rather than just dealing with the restaurant.”
Carillo’s story is being bleated by mainstream media to attack Trump and blame him for stupid antics perpetrated by people who may not even be his supporters.
Meanwhile, the mainstream media ignores the huge spike in hate crimes, violent beatings, and widespread bullying of Trump supporters, like Café 8 in Honolulu, Hawaii, which refuses to serve the 63 million people who voted for President Trump.
The cafe hung a sign on its front door that read: “If you voted for Trump you cannot eat here! No Nazis.”
Interestingly, no one blamed the cafe owners’ intolerant actions on Hillary Clinton or Barack Obama, even though President Trump continues to get blamed for stupid antics perpetrated by random knuckleheads.
